Breaking it down: Why I started this blog at 12am on a Saturday

Honestly, I don't know if anyone will ever read this but I'm going to write like they will. Ever since starting college in August of last year I have had so many thoughts. Most of them had to do with debating to go to class and how much I missed my Dad's cooking, but that's besides the point. I really wanted to write down the ones that people don't tell you about college. The ones that I think people are afraid to say because they break the party, fun time, stay up until 4am norm of college life.
Props to you for making it past the first paragraph (or skimming over it if you're like me and just skip to the lists.) So here are the reasons. The reasons why at midnight, on a random Saturday I finally decided to sit down and write those thoughts that had run through my brain for the past 9 months.
1. Healthy lifestyles are hard. I just started a resolution of trying to eat healthier and workout more. I'm already struggling at two days in and I'd like to talk about why.
2. College is confusing. I've read hundreds of articles both in preparation and reflection of my first year in college and I feel like there are some key things that are left out.
3. The kitchen is my happy place. I love baking but sometimes I feel like snapchat can't capture the beauty of my banana nut bread as perfectly as I'd wish. (Stay tuned for the recipe, you'll thank me later)
4. I like to talk. Sometimes I just have random strokes of wisdom (or maybe they are just poorly put together thought nuggets. I'll let you decide) and I feel like writing them down would be fun.
So here's to you making it to the end of my first post. If you find it interesting, I hope you stick around to read a little bit more. I'd also like to know what you think of these mismatch of topics? Do you also have an interest in cardio, cupcakes, and college (or maybe just the cupcakes, because honestly who doesn't have a sweet tooth)?
